I am currently in the process of updating the site – adding a bunch of new content, and attempting to organize information in a logical fashion. During this time, don’t be surprised if things break, are missing etc. Bear with me!
Thanks!

Hey Michael,
Nice site- I love these structures you are building- I haven’t tried to do such small work. Being a music producer by day, I tend to like working on the overall picture, and bringing in people that can do better than myself for some of the details. I have a guy building a trestle bridge at the moment, and talking to another about some structures. On one hand I feel like I am “cheating” a bit, but I am so interested in taking realistic photos of the layout, that I want it to look like real life, and I don’t think I could do it that my own! Maybe after I get this “test” layout further along, and I decide to expand it into a large layout, by that time I can do most of the modeling myself.
Don’t know why I am rambling here, but all that to say, that I like the details you are getting on the small stuff, and scratchbuilding!

Thanks for the kind words! The reason I started with this small layout was that I wanted to see if I could ‘do’ different things. To date, I’ve been pretty pleased with the results, and overall I’ve enjoyed each facet. That being said, if I could bankroll a larger layout, I think my priorities would shift and I would probably try to concentrate my efforts on completing a layout in a timely fashion, and perhaps farm out some of the work. I’m not enamored with the idea of a ‘lifetime’ layout as I’m simply too impatient. If I had my choice, I’d join a club where I could contribute time/effort and share in a bigger project, and still keep something small at home to tinker with.
